People are coming here and reading!

Some are staying for over an hour! And while they're here Candy, they are learning what Catholics really believe.

I'm Catholic, a convert in fact, and think this site is great. Thank you for starting it, and thanks to Elena, Erika and Kelly for the informative, passionate posts.

The only reason i have come to the website is to see how right Candy really is. There is no need for her to comment or even waste her time to see what you have to say about what she has to say....all those catholics going to her website are probably seeing how right she is too.

Hi, I just found this site - thanks. You know, I wish all of the anti-Catholic ladies who read Candy's blog would read "Rome Sweet Home" by Scott Hahn. It's about a Protestant minister and biblical scholar who realized, after years of intense study of Scripture, that the Catholic faith is the one true faith. But if I post about it there, I'm afriad it would be deleted (which makes one wonder - if they are so "right" why would they be afraid to hear an opposing viewpoint or educate themselves on what Catholicism really is?). Anyway, thanks for standing up for the Faith!

Hey, ifyoucan't...just what is Candy so right about? I haven't seen her post anything true about Catholicism. Care to enlighten us?

Celeste, I guarantee if you suggest Rome Sweet Home your comment will not be posted on Candy's blog.

That is an excellent book BTW, and was the first book I read when I was on my way to converting (although I didn't realize it at the time)! Scott Hahn wasn't just non-Catholic either, he was vehemently anti-Catholic!

Hmmm... that doesn't really make much sense does it. If Candy says A and we say B, then obviously you can't see that Candy is "right" when none of the arguments support that. Rather you have to determine which argumentation is more compelling, persuasive and logical from what is presented. Of course, I think we both know that you come here with your mind already made up.

Except that she herself today said that she has to reach out more to Catholics! She said she has to try harder to save us!! So which is it? a waste of time or her duty?

I think Catholics who have one foot outside of the Catholic church and the other on a banana peel probably do. They don't need much reason to leave anyway and one excuse is as good as another.

You might want to check out this site for examples of Catholic Converts who were persuaded by the rightness of the church's position.

So, OK. Either you just came here to stir the pot, in which case I will apply that to how much I value your opinions. Or you just came here, and created that profile, to deliberately offend. In which case, in my case, try harder.

Ladies, be careful if you go look at those books, not child safe at all.

I hear you. I just checked the profile a little too late. I think it's a quickly created profile. The books aren't adult safe either. *shudders*

Can anyone think of someone low enough to create a profile like that just to come "stir the pot"? Candy...it wouldn't be you, would it?

Oh my goodness! I just read the comment you made, Elena. Right before I came back to this site, I went over to Candy's and attempted to post a testimony from one of the conversion stories listed on the Coming Home Network. I'm waiting to see if Candy deletes my post of the testimony.

I too went to "if you can't say...."'s profile and all I could think was YIKES! Defintely not safe and it made me wonder her true intentions also.

I have said it before and I'll say it again. I am not Catholic. I am not religious and have no affiliation. (That's not to say I don't believe; I just don't practice or follow organized religion for my own reasons).

Given that, I will say that by coming to this site I have learned so much about the Catholic religion, and religion in general.

Reading Candy's site, I've only ever learned how people can hide behind God as a way of expressing their prejudices without taking any responsibility whatsoever for their thoughts or actions.

Even if Candy ever closed up shop (doubtful, for obvious reasons) I'd still follow the blogs of people I've found from this site, because they educate me. The discussions had in these comments inform me.

Candy just insults me and every other person who dares to think differently than she does.

So, Mr/Ms "if you can't...." I's suggest you consider what you read rather than taking someone's ramblings to heart and turning around and doing drive by posts when thinking people contradict said ramblings, with evidence.
