Baptism

FYI- comment moderation is back up at Candy's.

I just want to make a quick comment on this quote from Candy in her comment box:

"Also, the Bible doesn't say that we have to be baptized to be saved." CB

"Whoever believes and is baptized(will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." Jesus Christ Mark 16:16

And the most recent posts are missing. I'm sure only a coincidence that the one(s) missing were the ones with the commenter who dared to defy Candy. She is a piece of work.

Ooopsy! Posts are back up. It's like a roller coaster ride. Up, down, up, down...

Are your comments or IP banned, or just that comment was declined?

Still, good to know. I was tempted to comment a time or two, but I didn't want to take any chances. The other times she has opened comments, it hasn't lasted long.

I wasn't banned or declined. It just took a while for my post to appear and at the top it said comments were being moderated. Kitkat had a comment appear as well.

Of course... I also have my handy dandy IP hider - just in case!

Although I have not been able to keep a good eye on what has been going on over there for the last few weeks, I am so far impressed that she has let some of those comments make it through. As usual, I don't agree with most of her arguments. But I do appreciate that she has let some dissenters leave a comment. We'll see how long it lasts.

I do hope that my comment didn't sound nasty. I always find myself bothered by CB's hubby when he says something like "as a former unsaved RC who was, like most RCS, ignorant of the Bible". I consider that an opinion and a hasty generalization, yet it is always presented as a fact on the blog. I feel that is a bit unfair.

The whole "unsaved Roman Catholic" thing nags at me too. I AM saved. I don't really understnad why I have to say the sinner prayer and "accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior". I have already done that, minus that whole sinner's prayer thing. Am I missing somehting about being "saved" in the fundamentalist's definition? We didn't even have the idea of SAVED in the LCMS. I just don't understand that concept.

I know that it is a bit early to say this, but I hope that you all have a wonderful Easter. I have to go get my house ready for Easter dinner and myself ready for the Easter Vigil Mass where I finally get to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and the Eucharist. YAY!!

Sorry about the typos and misspellings. :( I'm in a hurry today.

Wow, I'm impressed that she did put up what you wrote, Elena. Plus, she didn't switch your homepage to a Jack Chick link!

Also, Joy's post was put up, and it DID include a link to her Coffee with Candy site!

This is great progress, as long as it lasts.
