A record of the comments I make on Candy Brauer's KeepingtheHome.com Blog - just in case! "There are not over a 100 people in the U.S. that hate the Catholic Church, there are millions however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church which is, of course, quite a different thing." Where We Got the Bible: Our Debt to the Catholic Church
This is a new link in the side bar under important links. This little book explains the Catholic Church's role in the compilation and development of the bible. It's free and online!

I'm up to
CHAPTER VII. Variations in Text Fatal to Protestant Theory, reading on and off this morning between dozens of batches of cookies. I think this will be one of my favorites, simply because it will be nice to see how someone with knowledge phrases many things I've often though.
I really like the way it is written. I am impressed with the obvious fact that it was written for anyone to read and the language is understandable. Does that make sense? I get lost a lot when reading Catholic pieces because I don't understand the terminology, etc. steeped in the history and faith of the church.
This is a good one, but I wish there could be an updated version, that incorporates new scholarship.
From their own admissions, this is the make-or-break topic with Evangelicals. We need to know this backwards and forwards.
