On A Personal Note . . .

We seem to be having a little lull, and I thought it might be a good time to share some personal information, especially as Elena has been prodding me to do so. My husband and I are expecting a new baby in early January!

This will be my fourth child, and I have had some previous complications in my pregnancies. If you wouldn't mind, please keep me in your prayers for a healthy pregnancy, and a safe vaginal birth.

The above picture is a sample Kelly baby. They all look pretty much alike, but my husband hasn't given up hope for a redhead!

Thanks, kitkat. I think I'm due about a month after you.

I'm not sure he's quite so precious now. He's wandering around saying, "No! Mine!" and "No! Me do it!" and other such 2-year-old-isms. ;)

Congratulations, Kelly! Hope all goes well. Here's a prayer to Saint Gerard for you:

Prayer to Saint Gerard

Great Saint Gerard, beloved servant of Jesus Christ, perfect imitator of our meek and humble Savior, and devoted child of the Mother of God, enkindle in my heart one spark of that heavenly of charity which glowed in yours and made you a seraph of love.

Glorious Saint Gerard, because, like your Divine Master, you bore without murmur or complaint the calumnies of wicked men when falsely accused of crime, you have been raised up by God as the patron and protector of expectant mothers. Preserve me in the dangers of motherhood, and shield the child I now bear, that it may be brought safely to the light of day and receive the sacrament of baptism. Amen.

God bless!

You and your hubby make adorable babies. :) Your 2 y/o sounds very normal. LOL I actually get a kick out of 2 y/o's...now when they turn three, I just brace myself for a year of "fun."

I have 4 children, they all looked so similar as babies! My mom who is a redhead really wanted a redhead and she got one, my #4! She is more of a reddish tint, but it was good enough!

Here's hoping! ;)

jennifer, sr. In case you chose comment notification--

My husband says he's jealous, because both he and his mother have red hair, and he thinks he should have gotten a red-head by now.

We once were walking around at a festival and saw a red-haired man with a brunette wife and two red-haired children. He turned to me and said "TWO! She gave him TWO red-heads! You're holding out on me!"
