A record of the comments I make on Candy Brauer's KeepingtheHome.com Blog - just in case! "There are not over a 100 people in the U.S. that hate the Catholic Church, there are millions however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church which is, of course, quite a different thing." More nun fun!
Long time readers will remember how Candy loves to post stories about nuns being raped and tortured, even with no documentation to back it up. So from time to time we like to show the bright side of the sisterhood. Over at Overheard in the Sacristy is reporting that four young women entered the convent recently, complete with beautiful pictures.

Joan, maybe these photos will remind you of the Solemn Vows you once made to God.
Seems as disparaging of nuns as Candy. In my opinion.
I must have missed something.
It's underneath the pictures.
The blog's author included it there, and I found it rather too snarky for my tastes.
OK I get it now.
have you ever heard "Sister" Joan Chittister speak? She takes "Snark" to a whole n'other level!

I agree that it was a jarring note to have at the end, but the pictures are lovely nonetheless.

Moonshadow, Are you being serious?
I've no idea who 'Joan' is and I've never heard of Joan Chittister. Maybe it is addressing her. I did wonder what it meant and who the Joan was but I can't see how you can put that one rather oblique comment into the same category as Candys nun horror stories.
It links to her but I can't see how it addresses her in any meaningful way.
The pictures of the nuns are lovely, there's no question on that. And the church is lovely.
Of course Joan Chittister is not really the reason or the point of this post.
