Update

I added more links to news coverage on Pope Benedict and the sex scandals, in case anyone is wanting to keep up with the latest news.

Well, for what its worth, I really like and respect this Pope. The Lutheran in me disagrees with the *Office* of the Pope (and that's not the point of this, so lets not get into that now), but I sure like this man. You know why - because he is unashamedly orthodox. He is not at all what you would call wishy-washy. I know that many wish he would be more moderate, but I respect that as the head of the Catholic church, he acts and responds CATHOLIC. (Does that make sense?)

Anyways, I think the fact that he is a conservative might be influencing some of the media coverage surrounding the scandal. Liberal America does not like a conservative Pope. John Paul II was beloved in the media, but JP was more of a moderate. I mean, can you imagine the press attacking JP over this? There'd be outrage. Benedict, as a conservative is a "fair" target.

Anyways, just my two cents.
