Catholic World News : Faith brings salvation, Pope tells Sunday audience

Catholic World News : Faith brings salvation, Pope tells Sunday audience: "Faith brings salvation, Pope tells Sunday audience Vatican, Oct. 15, 2007 (CWNews.com) - At his Sunday Angelus audience on October 14, Pope Benedict XVI (bio - news) offered his reflection on the Gospel reading of the 10 lepers, observing that the story used physical health as a way to understand salvation. Salvation, the Holy Father explained, 'is much more than health; it is in fact new, full, and definitive life.' The single leper who thanks Jesus for healing him, he continued, shows his faith, and it is 'faith that saves man.' Believers recognize that their spiritual health-- their salvation-- is God's gift, not something they have earned, the Pope continued. Faith is the recognition of that undeserved gift."

Oh, that's just the P.R.

The uncut version has the part about unswerving alliegeance to the Pope, worshiping Mary, etc. It's after you sign on the dotted line, that's where the Papists get you! He's probably just quoting from something here, and he'll go on to refute it next.

As an interesting side note, I tried posting this as a comment to Candy's site. Don't waste your time looking for it there, though . . .
