For our non-Catholic readers: the song Mr. Domingo is singing is the Eucharistic hymn "Panis Angelicus". The lyrics are: Panis angelicus fit panis hominum; Dat panis caelicus figuris terminum: O res mirabilis! manducat Dominum Pauper, servus, et humilis. Te trina Deitas unaque poscimus: Sic nos tu visita, sicut te colimus; Per tuas semitas duc nos quo tendimus, Ad lucem quam inhabitas. Amen.
In English:
Bread of Angels, made the bread of men; The Bread of heaven puts an end to all symbols: A thing wonderful! The Lord becomes my food: I, a poor servant, and humble. Thanks Sal for the translation. Panis Angelicus has been a favorite of mine since high school - my choir sang it for contest. I knew what some of the words meant, but I had never read a complete translation. How beautiful!!
